Asia Simulation Conference 2008 / 7th International Conference on System Simulation and Scientific Computing (ICSC’2008) (Sponsored by IMACS)
http://www.icsc.net.cn

General Chair:  Bo Hu Li
Program Committee Chair:  Zongji Chen
Organization Committee Chair:  Yunjie Wu

Due to the May 12 earthquake in Wenchuan , the conference will take place in Beijing instead of Chengdu .  Paper submission deadline will be delayed to June 20, 2008.

This conference is a part of the “Asia Simulation Conference”, which is an annual international conference organized go-around, by three Asia Simulation Societies: CASS, JSST and KSS since 1999. It is also a prolongation of the Beijing International Conferences on System Simulation and Scientific Computing (BICSC) sponsored by CASS since 1989.  It's purpose  is to bring together outstanding researchers in modeling and simulation areas to share their expertise and experience. The theme of ICSC’2008 is “Technology, Application, Enterprise and Education of Modeling and Simulation”.

8th Meeting on Applied Scientific Computing and Tools Grid Generation, Approximation and Visualization (MASCOT08) (Sponsored by IMACS)
http://www.iac.rm.cnr.it/~rosa/convegno/

Contacts:  Dr. Francesca Pistella,  Dr. Rosa Maria Spitaleri, Instituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo-CNR, Viale del Policlinico 137,00161 Roma, Italy,  r.spitaleri@iac.cnr.it

MASCOT08 is the eighth edition of the IMACS/ISGG workshop focused on methods and tools for the complete cycle of numerical modelling and simulation. Aim of the workshop is the presentation and discussion of innovative technologies dealing with all aspects of computational processes, from effective grid generation methodologies to the definition of advanced approximation methods, the identification and application of efficient PDE numerical solution algorithms, the development of powerful tools for the visualization of results. The workshop would like to bring together developers and users of computational methods and software tools to go deeper into advantages of new methodologies, discuss applications and results, identify new needs and innovative development directions.

18th IMACS World Congress

July 13-17 and August 3-7, 2009

Due to the increasing cost of international travel and to allow for more IMACS members and other scientists to participate, it has been decided that the 18th IMACS WORLD CONGRESS will be held in two geographically separated parts of the World - in the Southern and Northern hemispheres consecutively. The first part, the opening of the Congress, will take place in the South, organized in cooperation with MSSANZ, the IMACS affiliated Society in Australia New Zealand :

18th IMACS/MODSIM World Congress     http://www.imacs-modsim-world-congress.org
July 13-17, 2009, Cairns, Australia.

(see below) . The second part will take place at the University of Georgia in the US :

18th IMACS World Congress http://www.uga.edu/imacs/
August 3-7, 2009, Athens, GA, USA

It is there, other than for the scientific program, that Technical Committee meetings, IMACS Board meetings and IMACS’s General Assembly will take place, followed by the closing of the Congress.
