As part of its commitment to enhancing and simplifying research processes and policies for faculty and staff, the Office for Research (OfR) announced a major update to its Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission process with the launch of eIRB+. The OfR’s eIRB+ implementation team developed the new system in collaboration with over 500 Rutgers faculty and staff.

Last week, Rutgers’ Office for Research announced a new, unified patent policy that was approved and became effective retroactive to July 1, 2021. The Patent Policy was a collaborative effort between University leadership, faculty, staff, and union representatives. It will enhance efforts to support entrepreneurship and expand the innovation ecosystem at Rutgers.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, announced a historic, transformative open-access partnership with Elsevier, a global leader in information, scientific research, and analytics. The five-year arrangement managed by the Rutgers University Libraries (RUL) will provide the Rutgers community with read access to over 4,600 journals, 1,400 of which are fully open access.
